The Blake Yellow Jackets''s game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past Chamberlain 54-19 on the road. The result was nothing new for Blake, who have now won six matchups by 26 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Blake to victory, but perhaps none more so than Deshawn Neal, who rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Leon Haynes also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, Chamberlain had strong showings from Jakeh Palmore, who picked up 107 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and Austin Swank, who threw for 107 yards and two touchdowns. Palmore's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards.
Blake's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Chamberlain, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Blake will look to defend their home field on Friday against Robinson at 7:30 p.m. Robinson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Chamberlain, they will head out on the road to face off against Brandon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Brandon is on a four-game streak of home losses, Chamberlain an eight-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change.
