After losing to the Western Indians the last time they met, the Symmes Valley Vikings decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Symmes Valley managed a 59-53 victory over Western on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Symmes Valley.
Symmes Valley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacob Cade out in front who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and five blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cade has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aydan Taylor, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 0 assists.
Symmes Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Western, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.
Symmes Valley will square off against South Gallia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Gabe Frazee and Ethan Smith. As for Western, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Northwest at 7:30 p.m. Northwest will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
