The North Rockland Raiders's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 54-38 win over Suffern. North Rockland pushed the score to 46-24 by the end of the third, a deficit Suffern cut but never quite recovered from.
Sarai Gurley was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiersten Daly, who scored 14 points.
The victory got North Rockland back to even at 9-9. As for Suffern, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
North Rockland will square off against Clarkstown North at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Rockland is facing Clarkstown North at the right time seeing as Clarkstown North is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Suffern, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Clarkstown South at 6:00 p.m. Suffern is coming into the contest with four straight losses at home, meaning Clarkstown South will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
