Even though the Tokay Tigers scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, the Cornerstone Christian Cougars still came out on top. Cornerstone Christian had just enough and edged Tokay out 66-63.
It was another big night for AJ McCoy, who scored 21 points. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Marcus Wagner , who scored 13 points.
Cornerstone Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Tokay, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Cornerstone Christian is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Contra Costa Christian at 4:00 p.m. on December 12th. Contra Costa Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Tokay and Oakdale will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
