Newark Catholic moved up to 133 from 165 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Mid-State - Ohio. The Green Wave climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Whitehall-Yearling 41-6.
Newark Catholic extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Rams, 41-6. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Lakewood's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lancers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alex Napier has thrown for 155 yards and one touchdown this season, while Junior King has five catches for 97 yards. Brandon Ward leads the league in rushing with 292 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Green Wave take on Granville. Newark Catholic has allowed 97 points this season, while the Blue Aces have given up 76.
