Basketball Recap: Everett Nelson Key Part of Team Effort in Prowlers Win

There's no place like home for Thief River Falls, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels out 61-58. This was payback for the Prowlers, who suffered a 62-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Thief River Falls to victory, but perhaps none more so than Everett Nelson, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Nelson is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Bridger Wilcox was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.

Thief River Falls was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Thief River Falls' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. As for Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-9.
