Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Dayton's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 55-46 to Brearley. Dayton has struggled against Brearley recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Kyle Rosenstock, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Luke Sherman, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Johnson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
Johnson didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Dayton in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 54-50 win.
