Barron Collier is 10-0 against Key West since December of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Barron Collier Cougars will be playing at home against the Key West Conchs at 6:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Last Wednesday, Barron Collier ended up a good deal behind Neumann and lost 51-35. While losing is never fun, Barron Collier can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 179th, while Neumann is ranked 33rd).
The losing side was boosted by Rebecca Van't Hoff, who scored eight points along with six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was PEYTON HEFFLEFINGER, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Key West, who are still winless after their ninth contest. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 56-36 walloping at the hands of Archbishop McCarthy on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Key West has suffered since November 28, 2023.
Barron Collier's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Key West, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-9.
Barron Collier skirted past Key West 2-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Barron Collier repeat their success, or does Key West have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
