The South Bulldogs had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.6 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They really took it to Marion-Franklin for the full four quarters, racking up a 80-48 victory at home. South has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.
Lajames Washington was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. Another player making a difference was Chris Stokes, who scored 17 points.
South is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Marion-Franklin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South will take on Briggs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marion-Franklin, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Granville at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th.
