The Kingman Academy Tigers will face off against the Mountainside Wolves at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Kingman Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8  runs per game  this season.
Having struggled with four  defeats in a row, Kingman Academy  turned things around against Northland Prep Academy  on Monday. They walked away with  a   13-10  win over the Spartans. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Tigers considering their one-run performance the  game before.
 Gavin Hopper made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  stolen bases, five  RBI,  and two  runs. Kingman Academy is 4-1 when  Hopper posts two or  more  runs, but 3-10-1 otherwise.

 In other batting news,  Baylor Short was  incredible,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Dustin Sealy, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 Kingman Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .561. They are 4-1 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
 Meanwhile, Mountainside was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight  loss. They came up short against  Anthem Prep, falling  35-1.
 Mountainside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Kingman Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11-1.
