The Scott Skyhawks will square off against the Westside Renegades at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Scott beats Westside with ten runs on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Skyhawks put the hurt on Sherman with a sharp 10-2 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Skyhawks in their matchups with the Tide: they've now won six in a row.
Kambri Beard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Scott always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sherman only posted an OBP of .333.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Westside and River View have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Renegades were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Raiders.
Like Scott, Westside also got a great game from a two-way player: Tenli Hicks. On the mound, Hicks didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Paisley Shannon pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Hicks went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Shannon went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That RBI was Hicks' first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kinley Morgan, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Shay Bailey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Scott's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Westside, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
Everything went Scott's way against Westside in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, as Scott made off with a 14-1 victory. Will the Skyhawks repeat their success, or do the Renegades have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
