For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Thomas Jefferson has suffered against George Washington since February 5, 2018.
Thomas Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Doren Sacha, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Shane Curry was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three blocks.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead George Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Oscar Stecklein, who scored 22 points along with nine blocks and eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Stecklein scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Trimm, who almost dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists.
Thomas Jefferson has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for George Washington, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
Thomas Jefferson will be playing at home against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lincoln focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday. George Washington will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Far Northeast W at 2:00 p.m. on January 20th. Far Northeast W comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
