After flying high against the Allatoona Buccaneers last Monday, the Creekview Grizzlies came back down to earth. Creekview fell to Etowah 42-36. If Creekview hoped to take revenge for the 49-46 loss against they when the teams met on Tuesday, then they were left disappointed.
Despite the loss, Creekview still got an impressive performance from Amilya Taft (sy), who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and five blocks.
Etowah's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Megan Reed, who scored 12 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Savannah Aparicio, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Creekview's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Etowah, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
Creekview will be playing at home against Woodstock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodstock is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Etowah, they will face off against Rome at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
