Basketball Recap: Klahowya Skates Past Evergreen with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Klahowya). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 54-17 victory over the Evergreen Wolverines. The Eagles pushed the score to 40-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolverines had little chance of recovering from.

Bailey O'Brien continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 for 20 on her way to 28 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Klahowya's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Wegleitner, who posted six points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds.

Klahowya's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Evergreen, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Klahowya and Riverdale will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Evergreen, they will host Muckleshoot Tribal at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Muckleshoot Tribal will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Evergreen surely won't give up without a fight.
