Parkwood's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets a 17-0 shutout. The Wolf Pack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.
Chloe Purgason looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Amanda Leibowitz was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She also hit a triple, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Geneva Yow, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
Parkwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The win got Parkwood back to even at 10-10. As for Forest Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.
Parkwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forest Hills, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Charlotte Country Day School at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
