The Wayzata Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Blaine Bengals at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wayzata 3.9, Blaine 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Blaine will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Wayzata extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Trojans came out on top against Hopkins by a score of 8-4.

Ella Goodnature looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sydney Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Maddie Klein also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Blaine waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Orioles.
Emmie Sylvia-Cochran spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 18 Ks.
On the hitting side, Blaine's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emily Vogel, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
The win got Blaine back to even at 6-6. As for Wayzata, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Wayzata hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Blaine struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Wayzata couldn't quite get it done against Blaine in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
