Basketball Recap: Newman International Academy Extends Winning Streak to Two

Newman International Academy won the last time they faced Coram Deo Academy and JB Brown did his part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors claimed a resounding 75-26 victory over the Lions thanks in part to Brown, who shot 70% from the field to rack up 19 points in addition to eight assists and seven boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.

The win made it two in a row for Newman International Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. As for Coram Deo Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2-2.

Newman International Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-46 win against Nazarene Christian Academy on the 22nd. As for Coram Deo Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wylie Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 2.
