Baseball Recap: Thrasher Makes It Five in a Row at Home

While Thrasher's win against Tremont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Thrasher Rebels skirted past the Tremont Eagles 6-4. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Ryan Tate made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Thrasher is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Tate was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Tate wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Caden Boren, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Samuel Hughes was another, scoring a run and stealing Two bases.

Thrasher pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Tremont, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Thrasher will have a chance to go back-to-back against Tremont: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
