Rockledge is 10-0 against Titusville since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. Having just played yesterday, the Rockledge Raiders will get right back to it and host the Titusville Terriers at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
On Tuesday, Rockledge took a serious blow against Viera, falling 61-27. While losing is never fun, Rockledge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 520th, while Viera is ranked 131st).
Despite the loss, Rockledge had strong showings from Jaida Williams-Goins, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds, and Da'varriea Robertson, who scored six points. Williams-Goins scored a full 63% of Rockledge's points, the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Titusville came up short against Eau Gallie on Monday and fell 40-30. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Titusville in their matchups with Eau Gallie: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite their loss, Titusville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Emonie Moore, who scored 15 points along with five steals, was perhaps the best of all. The game was Moore's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Snyla Hill was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds.
Rockledge's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-6. As for Titusville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
Rockledge took their victory against Titusville in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 49-23. Will Rockledge repeat their success, or does Titusville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
