It was a good run, but the Promise Prepatory Academy Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Horizon Christian Academy, falling 86-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Promise Prepatory Academy has scored all season.
Horizon Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nyla Black, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 assists. Black hasn't dropped below 15points for eight straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Holcombe, who scored 22 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Promise Prepatory Academy's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. As for Horizon Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 16-4 with that win, which was their 19th straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Promise Prepatory Academy on the road again on Tuesday and play against Bible Baptist Christian at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Horizon Christian Academy, they will challenge Shiloh Hills Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shiloh Hills Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 409th, while Horizon Christian Academy is ranked 160th).
