Eau Claire will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler in at 7:30 PM.
Eau Claire had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Lewisville 44-18. Eau Claire was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile,, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were given a punishing 0-39 loss at the hands of Edisto.
Eau Claire's lifted them to 1-0 while Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Eau Claire can add another positive mark to their record or if Hunter-Kinard-Tyler can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Eau Claire's step.
