The biggest upset of the week belonged to King, who took down 289th ranked Corona, 28-23.
Centennial extended the longest winning streak in Big VIII this week by beating Norco, 38-37. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
The Cougars' dynamic duo of Coltin Gerhart and Matthew Williams proved tough for Centennial to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gerhart threw for 214 yards and one touchdown and Williams had 128 yards receiving. Kyle Gonzalez helped Norco's passing attack out by catching three balls for 36 yards.
Nick Gibson was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 153 yards as the Panthers fell to Matt Logan's team. Tramel Davis also contributed to the rushing game with 108 yards on the ground.
5-foot-10 quarterback Robert Webber of the Huskies is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1457. He has also thrown 12 touchdowns. On the ground, Todd Gerhart's team's Joseph Ajeigbe has rushed for 972 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Dorion Barnett. The Santiago star has 30 catches for 439 yards.
Two of the top units in Big VIII will face off this week when Centennial takes on the Wolves. The Huskies' offense has racked up 344 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while King has allowed only 165 on the year.
Ajeigbe of the the Cougars is only 28 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
