Shaler Area extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fox Chapel Foxes. Even if the Titans couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
As for Fox Chapel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch.
For Fox Chapel's part, Joey Geller made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Geller was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season.
