The Babcock Trailblazers had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They came out on top against Pineapple Cove Classical Academy by a score of 54-46.
Babcock got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Allen out in front who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Allen hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jameson Habing, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Babcock's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Pineapple Cove Classical Academy, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Babcock won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Innovation Montessori at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Innovation Montessori focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. John Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th. St. John Lutheran is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
