Fossil Ridge lost on Thursday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Walker Shields, who to rack up 15 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played. Malachai Egbuji was another key player, putting up six points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Even though they lost, Fossil Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Mountain only six offensive rebounds.
Daniel Mbadinga had an outrageously good game for Rocky Mountain as he en route to 22 points in addition to four steals and three blocks. That's the most points Mbadinga has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bode Nesbitt, who earned eight points and five assists.
Fossil Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Rocky Mountain, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season.
Fossil Ridge will face off against Denver South at 6:00 p.m. on February 28th. Denver South is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.5 points per game this season. As for Rocky Mountain, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-52 win against Heritage on the 25th.
