Everything went their way against Eastside Prep as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with Eastside Prep: they've now won seven in a row.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Cedar Park Christian took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-10.
Cedar Park Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Aleo Damon, who had five digs and five aces, and Gianna Greenlaw, who had nine digs and seven assists. Those five aces gave Damon a new career-high. Alexis Rogers also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Cedar Park Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 26 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Granite Falls got the win against Overlake on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.
The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 25-22.
Cedar Park Christian's victory bumped their record up to 19-4-3. As for Granite Falls, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Cedar Park Christian has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8 aces per game. However, it's not like Granite Falls struggles in that department as they've been averaging 13.7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Cedar Park Christian took their victory against Granite Falls in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score.
