The Stansbury Stallions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Park City by a score of 75-67. The victory was just what Stansbury needed coming off of a 65-37 defeat in their prior match.
Stansbury's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aidan Pehrson led the charge by scoring 22 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Giles, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals.
Park City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cameron Wilson, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Duke Gordon, who scored 18 points.
Stansbury's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Park City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Stansbury will be playing in front of their home fans against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Jordan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Tuesday. As for Park City, they will head out on the road to take on Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Murray's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matchups.
