On Friday The Dalles will take on North Marion at 7:00 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
The Dalles were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Estacada last Thursday. The Dalles have to be aching after a bruising 22-44 defeat to Estacada. The Dalles's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Gabe Helseth, who accumulated 344 passing yards and picked up 112 yards on the ground.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for North Marion, and their match last Thursday only extended their streak of losses to four. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-34 punch to the gut against Gladstone.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. The Dalles defense got after the quarterback against Estacada to the tune of four sacks, so North Marion's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
