If the Queen's Grant Stallions were riding high off their 101-53 takedown of the Apprentice Academy Red Wolves last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Queen's Grant ended up on the wrong side of a tough 85-60 walloping at the hands of South Charlotte T on Tuesday. Queen's Grant was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.
Despite the loss, Queen's Grant still got an impressive performance from Garrett Morgan, who scored 26 points along with eight assists and five steals. Morgan is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Darian Nhek, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Queen's Grant's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-8. As for South Charlotte T, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-8.
Queen's Grant will head out on the road to challenge Carolina International at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Charlotte T, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greater Cabarrus S at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Greater Cabarrus S is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
