If the Wenonah Dragons were feeling good off their 64-36 takedown of the John Carroll Catholic Cavaliers last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Wenonah was dealt a 69-40 loss at the hands of the Spartans on Monday. Wenonah lost against the Spartans in their previous head to head last Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 65-58 score last time.
Wenonah lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jakerria Ringstaff, who scored 13 points along with four steals. Ringstaff has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last nine times she's played. Samarian Franklin was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Wenonah's loss dropped their record down to 24-8. As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
Wenonah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pleasant Grove also has no future games currently scheduled.
