On Friday Nestucca will take on Knappa at 7:00 PM. Nestucca are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the game prepared for a fight.
Last Friday, Nestucca put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. Everything came up roses for them against Portland Christian as the team secured a 54-6 win. Junior Mitchell Richwine, who rushed for 233 yards and 3 touchdowns, was a major factor in Nestucca's success. If you haven't heard Richwine's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past three games.
Meanwhile, Knappa took an ego-bruising defeat against Neah-Kah-Nie two weeks ago, but they kept their chin up and bounced back last Friday. Knappa enjoyed a cozy 34-14 victory over Gaston.
Nestucca took a serious blow against Knappa the last time the two teams met, falling 7-52. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
