Softball Recap: East Fairmont Extends Winning Streak to Three

East Fairmont took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Bridgeport, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bees had just enough and edged out the Indians 17-16. Winning may never get old, but the Bees sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

East Fairmont let Gracie Snyder and Raegynn Silvis run wild. Snyder scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Silvis scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Silvis a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Sydney Baston, who scored a run while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

East Fairmont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

East Fairmont picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Bridgeport, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

East Fairmont has already played their next game, a 13-2 loss against North Marion on the 16th. As for Bridgeport, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-9 defeat against Preston on the 16th.
