The Andrean Fighting 59ers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of LaVille by a score of 25-23. That's two games in a row now that Andrean has lost by exactly two points.
Despite the loss, Andrean still got an impressive performance from Scott Ballentine, who threw for 124 yards and two touchdowns.
Cody Allen was his usual excellent self, rushing for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Andrean's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.3 points per game. As for LaVille, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Andrean does not have any more games scheduled as of now. LaVille will head out on the road to face off against Whiting at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Whiting will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 285th, while LaVille is ranked 87th).
