Baseball Recap: Monday's Win Is Severance's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

While Severance put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Greeley Central. The Silver Knights blew past the Wildcats 10-0. Considering the Silver Knights have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Declan Moylett and Kolton Beidleman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Moylett tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Beidleman pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. At bat, Moylett went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI, while Beidleman went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most doubles Moylett has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Severance let Dom Rice and Karson Panas run wild. Rice went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI, while Panas got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Braeden Kerkseik also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Severance always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .552. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greeley Central only posted an OBP of .300.

Severance is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Greeley Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.

As of now, neither Severance nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
