Russell County will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Clay County at 8:30 PM. The teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with four consecutive losses for Russell County and five for Clay County.
Russell County took a serious blow against Wayne County last Friday, falling 13-50.
Meanwhile, Clay County were close but not close enough as they fell 20-23 to Rockcastle County. Things were expected to be close, but in this case the state rankings mixed up the winning team.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
