St. Dominic hadn't beaten St. Louis University on the road since April 9, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Crusaders came out on top against the Junior Bills by a score of 4-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Crusaders.

Alex Alsop spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, St. Dominic's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Christopher Eggering, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Chase Hoff also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

St. Dominic's win bumped their record up to 13-5-1. As for St. Louis University, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Dominic will venture away from home to square off against Lutheran at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Louis University, they will head out to challenge Vianney at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Griffins will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something the Junior Bills surely won't give up without a fight.
