The Berne Union Rockets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 48-26 walloping at the hands of Grove City Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Berne Union has suffered since December 16, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grove City Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Garringer, who scored ten points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Damron, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Berne Union dropped their record down to 1-16 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Grove City Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berne Union will take on Fisher Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fisher Catholic will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Grove City Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wellington School at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Wellington School is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
