The St. Ignatius Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Sunday. They pulled ahead with a 98-97 photo finish over Reynoldsburg. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
St. Ignatius' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Quinn Woidke led the charge by scoring 21 points. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Ellis, who scored 18 points.
St. Ignatius' win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Reynoldsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.
St. Ignatius will be home for the holidays to greet Maple Heights at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Reynoldsburg is on the road again on Friday and play against Newark at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Newark will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
