The Reading Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pittsford. Reading was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Pittsford apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Reading's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Wright, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Robbins, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Reading has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Pittsford, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Reading didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-39 defeat vs. Union City on the 9th. Pittsford has also already played their next contest, a 63-31 victory against Camden-Frontier on the 8th.
