Make it seven blowout wins for the Ocean Springs Greyhounds this season. They claimed a resounding 63-27 win over St. Martin at home. Given Ocean Springs' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Yellow Jackets are ranked 228th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Martin struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Ocean Springs pushed their record up to 17-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for St. Martin, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season.
Ocean Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Martin also has no future games currently scheduled.
