Coosa Valley Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They had just enough and edged out the Springwood Wildcats 30-28. For the Rebels, this counts as revenge for the 58-14 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Adam Baltes and Tucker Sides certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Baltes rushed for 107 yards on only 12 carries, while Sides rushed for 98 yards.
