Bonita extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 18-5. They put the hurt on the Glendora Tartans with a sharp 12-3 victory. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 15, 2024, but that streak is no more.
SERENITY REYES made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, SARA YEATS was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was ADRIANA MANGINI, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Bonita kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive contests.
As for Glendora, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 16-2-2 record. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for they, who until this matchup were averaging 2.4 runs allowed.
On Glendora's side, Siena Bobadilla made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Gonzalez, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bonita will face off against rival Ayala at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bearcats 3.3, the Bulldogs 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Glendora is set to take on their familiar foe Walnut at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
