Riverview have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Central Arkansas Christian at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest.
Two weeks ago, Riverview came up short against Highland, falling 20-27. Riverview's defeat came about despite a quality game from junior Ashton Williams, who rushed for 115 yards and 1 touchdown. One of the most memorable plays of the game was Williams's 76-yard touchdown rush in the second quarter.
Meanwhile, Central Arkansas Christian were the first on the board but had to settle for second at the end of their matchup against Clinton last Friday. Central Arkansas Christian took a hard 28-48 fall against Clinton. Central Arkansas Christian were down by 14-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Given their recent losses, both teams have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend.
