The Dexter Tigers were the 32-30 winner over the Bangor Christian Patriots when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. Dexter was outmatched by the Patriots at home and fell 58-29. Dexter has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Dexter still got an impressive performance from Zak Adams, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kellen Peavey, who scored seven points.
Dexter struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Dexter now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Bangor Christian, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter will challenge the Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Maine (Piscataquis is ranked 76th, while the Tigers are ranked 63rd). As for Bangor Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Machias is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
