The CORE Butte Lynx's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 65-54 to Williams. CORE Butte has not had much luck with Williams recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Williams was led to victory by Diego Ambriz and Kyden Bowen. Ambriz scored 25 points, while Bowen scored 30 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ambriz has scored at least a third of Williams' points.
CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Williams, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-12.
CORE Butte will be playing in front of their home fans against Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Williams, they will head out on the road to challenge Biggs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Biggs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
