The Ayaprun Jaegers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a rough 96-28 loss at the hands of Nelson Island. Ayaprun was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 53-17.
Nelson Island's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brennan Lincoln led the charge by scoring 28 points. Lincoln hasn't dropped below 15 points for five straight games. Charles Maxie was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with eight assists.
Ayaprun's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Nelson Island, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Ayaprun does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nelson Island will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Chief Paul Memorial at 5:45 p.m. Chief Paul Memorial is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
