Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilsonville). They breezed past the McKay Royal Scots to the tune of 70-0 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Trevor Glos had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 112 yards and four touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Ryder Rodriguez got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Wilsonville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Rodriguez and Daenon Herrera-Sotero. Wilsonville received some extra help from Chandler Brock, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Wilsonville, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Keona Tam, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
