The biggest upset of the week belonged to St. Mary's, who took down 627th ranked St. Mary's, 25-21.
El Cerrito extended the longest winning streak in Tri-County - Rock this week by beating Salesian, 42-6. The win marks sixth in a row for the the Gauchos.
Christian Bustamante put up the best numbers through the air as St. Patrick/St. Vincent fell to Pinole Valley. He had a total of five completions for 117 yards. Bustamante's favorite target this week was Tanner Bertuzzi, who caught two passes for 47 yards.
Erik Phillip was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 17 carries, he ran for 122 yards as the Panthers fell to Berean Christian. Andrew Abrahms also contributed to the rushing game with 16 yards on the ground.
Coleman was the best wideout in the league this week as St. Mary's lost to the Eagles. Coleman racked up four receptions for 52 yards. Ian Bonde helped St. Mary's' passing attack out by catching one ball for 47 yards.
The Panthers' Kevin Flemer and Coleman have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Tri-County - Rock in both passing and receiving yards. Flemer has thrown for 942 yards this season, while Coleman has 14 catches for 329 yards. Howard Wikle from Valley Christian leads the league in rushing with 835 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when El Cerrito takes on Berean Christian. Kenny Kahn's team is in first place, while the Eagles are in fourth place.
There should be lots of points scored when the Vikings and St. Mary's face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Valley Christian comes in having scored 170 this season, while the Panthers have scored 165.
The Spartans moved up to 636 from 688 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Pinole Valley was able to make the jump by beating the Bruins 3-0.
