Battery Creek is 1-9 against Whale Branch since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Battery Creek Dolphins will be staying on the road to face off against the Whale Branch Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Battery Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
Even though Battery Creek has not done well against Bluffton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Battery Creek secured a 44-39 W over Bluffton.
Battery Creek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabe Leegette, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alizjah Mathis, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Whale Branch pushed their score all the way to 58 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Beaufort by a score of 61-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Tuesday (56), Whale Branch still had to take the loss.
Battery Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Whale Branch, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Battery Creek came up short against Whale Branch in their previous meeting on Tuesday, falling 56-51. Can Battery Creek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
