Capital was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Prairie on Tuesday. The Cougars blew past the Falcons 9-3. Considering the Cougars have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Capital's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-7. As for Prairie, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-7.

Capital does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prairie, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-2 defeat against Central Kitsap on the 14th.
